Hello again! As you already know, I’m Paige. I grew up on a farm in eastern Utah with my three sisters, where I learned to drive a tractor before I learned how to drive a car, knew everybody in our small town and graduated as Valedictorian of our tiny high school class. I spent my time as a child playing Monopoly, building forts, choreographing dances for my little sister and holding our own version of “American Idol” way before it was even on TV. When I got older all my free time went to practicing volleyball, basketball or softball, depending on what season it was.
I attended the University of Utah, where I majored in Mass Communication and Psychology, and worked for the school newspaper all four years I was there, starting as a part-time humanities reporter and ending as the Sports Editor. My love for the Utah Utes still runs deep, and BYU will always be the enemy.
I have been a writer for as long as I can remember. My Grandma has always told me that when I was a little girl and would come stay at her house she would find scraps of paper all over her house with half written stories on them when I left. In seventh grade, when we were assigned to write short stories mine was over 10-pages, while most of my classmates struggled to get two or three. My love for writing eventually led me to pursue a career in journalism, where I covered everything from sports to crime and courts. While I loved doing interviews and writing every single day, I didn’t love the late nights and stressful deadlines that inevitably came with being a reporter. So I tweaked my career path and now work as a communications specialist at a health care company.
I have been with my husband, John, for 10 years, married for seven. We have two boys, Mason 4, and Logan 1, and a 9-year-old pug Willy. We love traveling, going to Real Salt Lake soccer games, camping, finding new local places to eat, and hanging out with family.
When I'm not writing or working you can find me dancing and singing in the kitchen with my toddler, working out, hanging out with family or reading. I am a lover of cooking, watching football, naps, ice cream, pumpkin treats, snuggling my pug and making lists. I’m a die-hard Patriots fan, addicted to coffee, can’t imagine a day without music, and would choose breakfast foods or tacos over almost anything else.
